In a recent column for the New York Times, David Leonhardt observed about the Republican tax bill proposal that it’s a “dreadful piece of policy. It would cause the deficit to soar and, as a result, probably reduce economic growth. It would also raise taxes for millions of middle-class families. While the economics of the tax cut bill aren’t optimal, they are much better than the current code. What would improve the bill dramatically would be significant cuts to both the top individual rates and the tax on capital gains.

Ive been caught in a lie.
For a while now Ive been telling friends, family and classes dont fear the robots. Theyll only make our lives easier. If we dont have jobs and income, robot-made products will have no customers. Some have taken Skynet from the Terminator movies too literally.
After some thought though, maybe some caution is in order. Perhaps we should be wary of the robots that create misleading headlines and flimsy stories. Those programmed to manufacture self-righteousness warrant suspicion as well. Worst of all are the cyborgs empowered by their masters…
