Groupon is all about discounts, but not this kind. The daily deal site’s shares plunged more than 25 percent to a record-low close today, little more than nine months since an IPO that valued the company at nearly $13 billion. The company’s stock price is off nearly 80 percent since then.

I?m addicted to the whole concept of the Internet of Things, and it is having an impact on my bank balance. From the novelty of a computerized ball that I control with my smart phone (Sphero), through to the Pebble Watch or the Makey Makey UI system increasingly, the ability to make things other than computers and phones a part of the network is increasing.
